John Pierce

Associate

John Pierce started with Tensegrity Law Group as a summer associate and stayed on as a law clerk while finishing his last year of law school at Texas A&M. During law school, he passed the United States Patent Office Registration Examination, participated in patent prosecution through the Texas A&M School of Law Patent Clinic, and served as president of the Intellectual Property Aggies. Since joining the group as an associate, John has participated in multiple patent infringement trials at U.S. district courts and the International Trade Commission. He has also successfully defended the validity of multiple patents as lead counsel in proceedings before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board. John is also the membership chair of the Giles S. Rich Inn of Court for the Federal Circuit Court of Appeals.

John graduated with honors from the University of Mississippi with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and a minor in Professional Writing. While pursuing his undergraduate degree, John worked as a welding robotics engineer at Hino Motors and completed several research projects related to biocompatible 3D printing, microfluidics, and combinatorial drug testing at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory.
