John Pierce

Associate

John Pierce started with Tensegrity Law Group in 2022 as a summer associate and stayed on as a law clerk while finishing his last year of law school at Texas A&M. Since joining the group as an associate, John has focused on various aspects of patent litigation matters in U.S. district courts, the International Trade Commission and the Patent Trial and Appeal Board. In law school, John passed the Patent Office Registration Examination in 2021, was involved in patent prosecution through the Texas A&M School of Law Patent Clinic and was the President of the Intellectual Property Aggies. He currently serves as the Young Lawyers Division Liaison to the American Bar Association’s Intellectual Property Litigation Section. John is also a member of the Giles S. Rich Inn of Court for the Federal Circuit Court of Appeals.

John graduated with honors from the University of Mississippi with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and a minor in Professional Writing. While pursuing his undergraduate degree, John worked as a welding robotics engineer at Hino Motors and completed several research projects related to biocompatible 3D printing, microfluidics, and combinatorial drug testing at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory.
